Last one, I swear! But I remembered there were pictures of the finished set on facebook during the play, so I thought I’d put them up too! I’m in some of them. (: Again, it’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and I was art director. It was an amazing performance! Also, I didn’t take the pictures.
I made this T-shirt in my Art in Tech class! It’s Korra, and it says, “The morning is evil.” I’m so proud of it! I can’t wait to wear it to school. (:
For our drama banquet, I dressed up as Merida from the newest Pixar movie, Brave! People keep telling me I look a lot like her, and since it was a costume party, I thought, “Why not?” The dress was borrowed by the very lovely costumes department in our drama club, the bow and the dowel I used as an arrow was borrowed from the equally lovely props department, the quiver was borrowed from my friend, and the sword (Yes, it’s real!) was given to me by my other friend. The boots were already mine. And my hair is very long, and curly, and red. So I look like Merida!! (: It makes me happy. I was really glad with the result! And it was a hit at the party!!
Again, I should have posted this a long time ago, but this is our high school’s musical, Sweeney Todd!! I, as Art Director, was in charge of all the poster making, T-shirt designing, and making the set look pretty. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a picture of the completed set, but maybe I have one somewhere. ): And my t-shirt is in the wash, so that’s a picture of a picture of the t-shirt… so sorry that it looks glossy.
This concluded the drama club season of 2011-2012 at the school! The seniors all left , and it was very sad. ): My class will be the seniors next year! I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures for our Fall play, Metamorphosis, but at least I got the other two. Until next year!
Just taking the time to post some very overdue pictures. These aren’t exactly drawings, this is the set for my school’s Fest play, Much Ado About Nothing. Except, as a twist, we had it set in 1940s New York City. I’m the Art Director for our drama club, so I help design the set and also take responsibility for anything with color, basically. All the painting, the entire skyline in the background, as well as the Angel on top of the fountain (I named her Angelica) were all my division. (:
